Mental Health Services

Over 90% of LGBTQI runaway and homeless youth struggle with mental illness. Nearly 1 in 4 have attempted suicide. In 2010, MCCNY Charities, Inc. extended its commitment to helping youth experiencing persistent mental illness with the creation of the Mental Health Services program.

Youth have one-stop access to mental health and preventative care during MCCNY Homeless Youth Services' Super Duper Clinic. Services include:

• psychiatric evaluations
• short-term therapy
• support groups
• case management
• life-skills training

Free rapid HIV testing and meals are also provided during clinic hours. All services are offered in both English and Spanish.
